My name is Ginger. I am a small urban flower farmer here in Mableton Georgia. It is nice to meet you!

 

I have always gardened, literally since the day my parents adopted me at six months old. My new father was a master gardener. He specialized in Iris hybridization, creating new breeds of these lovely flowers, and then showing them at Iris Society meetings. I grew up helping my mother make Iris arrangements, playing in the dirt while my father worked, weeding, digging, and thriving in the garden with my family. 

 

Now 64 years later, I am again digging, weeding, planting, seeding, and thriving in the garden. I love creating my own special brand of flower arranging, bouquet making, and herb growing.

I started back to working in the garden in 2019, right before the pandemic started and everyone was forced to stay home. I loved planting seeds, excelled at figuring out landscaping, and had a huge passion for creating beauty outside. Staying home gave me every opportunity to do just that. I came across a Floret Video, which inspired me to dive into Flower Farming. I was hooked!

 

I watched YouTube videos of other flower farmers and what they were doing, how they did it, and if it was profitable or not. I took courses, listened to podcasts, bought all of Florets and The Gardeners Workshops books, watched every single episode of Flower Hill Farm videos that she put out. Nicole Pitt is my Flower Farming Hero! Armed with a ton of knowledge I set out to make my dream of Flower Farming a reality.

Now four years later, I am happily planting, seeding, growing, selling, and loving being a Flower Farmer here on my little piece of garden heaven. I grow fresh cut flowers, perennial flowers, Lilies, Roses, Hydrangeas, and of course, Irises. I always grew herbs and Roses, so this year, I expanded my herb and Rose beds, creating a very "cottage farm" feeling that will fill my land with so many beautiful blooms.

We have partnered with #Rooted Farmers Market to sell our flowers Wholesale and Retail starting in  mid March 2024. So excited and delighted to work with florists, gift shops, and all the folks who love flowers!

 I am working hard this year to  expand the Flower Farm, growing more flowers and creating different color palettes for Bouquets, Mason Jars, DIY Buckets, and Special Events. If you are a Bride or you are doing a special Event and you need flowers, reach out to me. I am happy to help!
